Fracasso Pizzeria and Rowena's

It was a warm Sunday afternoon and as usual my young cousins were here. The family was complete (except for Dad who was out playing with his friends). They were lounging outside, chatting and watching the kids play. I was inside watching tv, as usual (such a couch potato....). Feeling hungry, I went outside to look for something to eat. My sis asked me if we like pizza, and I told her maybe they would like to try the local pizzeria near our place. My cousin ordered a huge 20" pizza there for only Php 490 yesterday. And boy, is that pizza HUGE! So, they ordered. I told them they wouldn't be disappointed because it really was big enough for all of us (5 kids, 9 adults). The local pizzeria's name is Fracasso. For all I know, they only have this one branch near our place. When the pizza arrived, it looked like this (I'm not sure why the box has a different name though):


For a local pizzeria, the pizza was good enough. It was really cheesy with lots of toppings. This is the Fracasso Special (it has pepperoni, ham, ground beef, onions, mushroom, black olives, bell peppers, sweet corn, and mozzarella cheese). According to their flyer, their pizzas were available in Personal (6"), Medium (10"), Large (12"), Super (20"), and Party (30") sizes. Their delivery time though, according to my sis, was more than an hour (so better order early, I guess). They also have other flavors like Pepperoni Max, Meat Combo, Hawaiian, Pizza Dos, All Veggie, Spicy Tuna, Pizza Italiano and Cheese Garlic. After 2 hearty squares of pizza, I decided to have a dessert of banana choco chip muffin (yum! food trip, hahaha). This one was from Rowena's in Tagaytay. My mom and my ninang went their yesterday to watch a comedy show (I forgot who were the comedians....) and they passed by the Rowena's Cafe to buy some pasalubong. They bought the buko pie and the banana chocolate chip muffin (at first the lady attending to them told them that it was all out, but when my mom spied some of them and pointed them to the attendant, she apologized and said she might have not noticed them. Haay, muntik na.... I wish they would double check first before saying they were all out....).

Anyway, those banana muffins were really moist and super delish because of the choco chips inside...
And while I'm at it, I also tried their mini buko pie. I'm not really a fan of buko pies, but this one really made me have a second try. The crumble on top was the thing that really captured my palate. It's sweet enough to captivate my taste buds and complements with the coconut filling very well. The crust was just right enough, not to hard and not to soggy. It has the right texture that when you bite into it, it melts and spreads evenly in your mouth, and gives a unique impression altogether with the coconut filling and crumble topping. Mhmm.... heavenly.... This pie really tastes great when served warm.
